Questions about customer data and GDPR.

Is it legal to email market to my customers?+

Yes, as long as you have consent. Smaqly handles GDPR consent automatically at the time of ordering: the customer checks if they want newsletters / campaign SMS. Only those who have given consent receive campaigns. You can always export the consent log to the Data Protection Agency.

What exactly can't Wolt do?+

Wolt's terms prohibit restaurants from: (1) contacting customers directly via email/SMS outside the Wolt app; (2) including contact info in order confirmations; (3) running a 'loyalty program' that pulls customers away from Wolt. If you break the rules, your account can be suspended. Smaqly is the opposite β€” we give you the entire customer card.

What data do I get access to?+

Per customer: name, email, phone, delivery address, birthday (optional), total orders, total spent, last order, average order value, favorite dishes, allergy notes. Plus segments: 'regular customers', 'rare', 'inactive 60+ days', 'high-value'.

Can I export to Klaviyo, MailChimp, or Hubspot?+

Yes. CSV export or direct API integration. We have webhooks that trigger with each new customer + updated order. The Pro+ plan includes this.

What happens to the data if I cancel Smaqly?+

You download your entire customer database as CSV before account closure. We delete the data after 30 days cooldown (GDPR best practice). You can also request hard delete immediately.
